Description of Duties:
Duties include diagnosing, treating, evaluating and managing acute and chronic mental illnesses, obtaining relevant medical and social histories and conducting physical examinations. Responsibilities also include prescribing medications with the purview of all state and federal laws and regulation and meeting with patients for regular follow-up appointments to monitor medications effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to the medication. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work in a treatment team environment and consult regularly with other mental health professionals including counselors, case managers and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
A. License in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania B. Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Licensed Physician Assistant C. Minimum five (5) years experience (preferred) in mental health setting D. Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
